  19. Straight from july 11, 1994 issue of 'Infoworld' - a weekly 
  20. magazine/newspaper mainly for the MIS/IS departments.  From the column of 
  21. Robert X. Cringley who reports bugs, mistakes and all the bad things about 
  22. computers (who's accuracy rate is about 95%)... and I quote:

  24.   "...It's also the availability of fast processors that has led to such 
  25. low bids for bankrupt Commodore.  The trustees last month rejected a 
  26. reported Samsung offfer of $1.5 million for the whole darned company!
  27.  
  28.   "But the lowball offer makes some sense.  All the Amiga custom chips are 
  29. still maazing, but as CPUs themselves get faster, the value of these chips 
  30. diminishes.  Any bidder (there are six, and the bids must be in by July 
  31. 15) would be interested in continuing sales in Europe and getting 
  32. royalties from NewTek, the Video Toaster folks, but an Amiga renaissance 
  33. is unlikely.

  35. In case you're not picking up your jaw from the ground yet, that is $1.5 
  36. MILLION.  The first sentence of the quote continued from the fact that 
  37. Cringley stated earlier in the column that 100-Mhz i486 had no difference 
  38. in performance as a 60- Mhz Pentuim chips in the 'Infoworld' test centers.  
  39. So much for those Raptors fans...  Get your bids in now 8-)
